Ski & Sail Lyngen

Lyngen lies between 69° and 70° north on northern Norway’s most spectacular coastline. It offers world-class skiing and is unique for its boat access and high peaks: travelling by sailboat through the Lyngen Alps is an experience of a lifetime, bringing you close to nature, wildlife and untouched powder. Weather and conditions can change quickly, so we only use IFMGA-certified ski guides with local knowledge, giving you a flexible programme with the best knowledge and safety.

We plan every tour around the best conditions in the Lyngen region. The fjord takes its name from the Old Norse Lygnir, from logn, meaning quiet, still or calm. Each day starts with a good breakfast before we sort our equipment and go looking for powder. Most peaks rise 750–1,800 m straight from the beach, and a typical day is 6–8 hours. Back on board it’s time for dinner, fishing, sailing and planning the next day.

This trip is for people looking for a high-end ski and sail experience. It isn’t cheap, and we don’t put groups in the cramped quarters of small sailboats that weren’t designed for winter. We take groups of 4–8 and focus on the details, from the quality of the food to the comfort of your bed, and we can provide two guides if you prefer.
