Mount Frances
South West Ridge – IV 5.8 60° snow/ice – 10,450ft / 3185m
This is potentially the best moderate mixed ridge in the entire Alaska Range. The south west ridge offers great climbing on quality granite in the heart of the Alaska Range, rewarding you with amazing views of Denali, Hunter, and Foraker. Frances is located above Denali base camp giving us perfect terrain for instruction and warm up climbs just out of camp. This is a classic trip giving you a taste of what the Alaska Range has to offer.
